Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants to support the needs of students aged 4-19. The school proveds education for students with varying needs including Moderate Learning difficulties (MLD) pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), pupils with Autism (ASD) and pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Throughout the school some pupils have additional needs arising from sensory impairments and physical disabilities.
You will ideally have experience supporting pupils with SEN, however, this doesn't have to be in a specialist school or educational setting and can be from youth work, support work, residential support, sports coaching, health and social work or holiday clubs. What the school are really looking for is someone with a caring approach and a fun personality who can really engage the young people in education.
The role may involve an element of personal care, which you must be happy to assist with.
The role will be on a full-time basis from September 2019, however, I will need to hear from you ASAP if you wish to be considered as the school would like to meet any potential candidates in the coming weeks, for which we would need to clear your vetting checks.
The rate of pay will be £9.50 p/hr, as a minimum.
Please send a copy of your CV if you wish to be considered.
