Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a General Teaching Assistants on behalf of our client primary school for an immediate start in the Newport area. The position is to start immediately after half term. The ability to communicate through the medium of welsh is essential for this post.

Position: General Teaching Assistant

Sector: Welsh Medium Primary

Start date: 22^nd February, 2021

End date: April (with a strong possibility of extending dependant on budget)

Location: Newport

Pay: GBP10 per hour including NI and Pension contributions

 Teaching Personnel are looking for someone who:

• Supporting pupils with learning difficulties or disabilities
• Has knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils
• Working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils
• Preparing the classroom for lessons
• Tidying up and keeping the classroom in good order
• Creating displays of pupils’ work
• Helping on school outings or at school events

In order to be suitable for this role you will need;

• To have previous experience working with children
• Child Workforce DBS on the update service
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council
• 2x Successful References
