Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit fluent Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate, supportive and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a real difference in the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with their learning in both Welsh and English.

• Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.

• Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted support.

• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.

• Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), where required.

• Encourage children to reach their full potential both academically and socially.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Fluent Welsh speakers (essential).

• Experienced working with children (school, childcare, coaching or similar).

• Passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey.

• Patient, approachable and able to build positive relationships.

• Flexible and reliable, with good communication skills.

• Confident supporting the National Curriculum in a classroom setting.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience working in a primary school setting.

• Knowledge of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
