Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Welsh speaking Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a unit base of a Welsh Medium Primary School in the Caerphilly area.

Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Pay: GBP10 per hour 

Location: Caerphilly

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Welsh speaking SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a resource base assisting the SEN teacher.  The desirable candidate will have previous experience working with a range of needs including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD, SLD), Autism (ASD) and other difficulties including sensory impairments and speech and language difficulties.

The school in question are consistently looking for full time and part time Teaching Assistants so whether you’re looking for 1 day a week or 5 days; we will have something that will suit you.

What can Teaching Personnel offer you?

  • GBP10 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, National Insurance Contributions and Pension Contributions.
  • Recommend a friend bonus scheme - GBP50 for every referral
  • Opportunities to be put forward for day to day supply, part time positions and full time positions.

Vetting

  • To work in schools through us, you will be required to complete a new DBS Disclosure application via Teaching Personnel and register this with the DBS Update Service.
  • You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council as a Support Learning Worker. Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the independent regulator in Wales for Teachers and learning support staff. Registration with the EWC is a legal requirement for anyone who works in a School in Wales;
  • Full referee contact details and work email addresses of your two most recent teaching, childcare or employment positions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
