Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a number of Vocational Teachers to teach in alternative provisions and secondary schools in York. You will be working with students who are unable to, or have been excluded from mainstream education. You should look past their behaviour and find new ways of engaging students and build trusting relationships.


  • Plan and deliver a range of vocational courses including Functional Skills Maths and English
  • Ensure lessons are accessible to all students, according to ability and in-line with PEPs and EHCPs
  • Liaise with other members of staff and outside agencies
