Job description
A thriving and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Art Teacher to join its successful Creative Arts department from April 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and innovative educator to become part of a forward-thinking school community that values creativity, ambition, and student achievement. The successful candidate will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced applicant.
The school is looking for a teacher who:

Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Art and Design

Is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire creativity and independent thinking

Has high expectations for student progress, attainment, and behaviour

Is able to contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive department
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners are warmly encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
