Job description
A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team from Easter 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to become part of a vibrant and supportive school community committed to high standards and student achievement.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic Art department that values creativity, experimentation and the development of individual artistic voice. The school is proud of its broad and engaging curriculum, offering students the opportunity to explore a wide range of media, techniques and artistic styles across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for a suitably experienced practitioner.
The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4

Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the visual arts

Inspire creativity and confidence in students of all abilities

Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes

Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
