Unqualified Teaching Assistant – South Ockendon
Location: South Ockendon
Daily Rate: £88 – £105
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants in South Ockendon. No formal classroom experience is required; instead, we value dedication, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and classroom activities
- Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Help pupils with additional needs to engage and succeed
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and motivation
Requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C / Level 4 or above)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, patient, and supportive attitude
- Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ideally registered on the DBS Update Service, or willing to obtain a new DBS check
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting
- Background in a support or people-facing role
- Familiarity with school or educational environments
