Unqualified Teacher

Location: Sheffield.

Hours: 8.15am – 3.00pm

Start Date:  ASAP

Pay: £90-£100 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an unqualified teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for work in education. The pupils ages are between 11-16.

Unqualified Teachers are also known as Cover Supervisors. As a Cover Supervisor you will oversee a classroom in place of an absent teacher. You will be expected to keep the pupils on track with their work and make sure behaviour is kept in line with school policy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the education sector or pursue a career in teaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow the lesson plans provided.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ensure student behaviour is in line with school policies.
  • Support students in their learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians when required.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service. (Or willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Registered to Education Workforce Council EWC. (Or willing to apply)
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
