Unqualified Teacher - Graduate

Secondary School located in Wigan

Starting ASAP 

 

Would you like the opportunity to gain first hand experience managing a classroom as an unqualified teacher?

Perhaps you are a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching?

An inclusive and vibrant secondary school in Wigan are currently looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic graduate who is considering a career in secondary teaching to join their support team ASAP. As an unqualified teacher, you will cover lessons when teachers are absent across the school. What a fantastic and exciting opportunity!

You will be introduced to this role as an Unqualified Teacher through Teaching Personnel, who are the preferred supplier of unqualified teachers and support staff to this particular secondary school in Wigan!

From October, our client secondary school in Wigan are seeking the support from an unqualified teacher for classroom supervision cover on short notice for reasons such as; short term teacher sickness, internal training days and time away for planning and marking.

Highlights

-          Unqualified Teacher required in Wigan (ideally a graduate looking at getting into teaching)

-          Flexible, temporary work around your availability e.g. 1- 5 days a week

-          Term time only 

-          Earning GBP57 - GBP62 a day, paid weekly!

-          Working at a supportive and committed secondary school located just outside of Wigan town centre 

-          Great way to gain classroom and behaviour management experience if considering secondary teaching / teacher training

-          Previous experience working with young people is desirable for the role

 

Role and Responsibilities of the Unqualified Teacher role:

-          Update your availability diary online which allows us to know what days you are free for work 

-          Managing full classes when teachers of absent - confidence and behaviour management is essential

-          Delivering pre-set work from the school to a class of students and ensuring they remain on task with this.

-          Get a feel of what it would be like to be a secondary school teacher, covering a range of KS3 and KS4 lessons (no subject knowledge required)
