Job description

Unqualified Cover Teacher

Pay from £100 - £120/day.

Starting ASAP.

Ideal for those considering careers in education and/or Teaching.

We are looking for a brand-new Unqualified Cover Teacher to support in local secondary schools, providing lesson cover and classroom management.

** NO TEACHER TRAINING IS REQUIRED **

Cover Teachers are essential members of staff within schools. The day-to-day of your role involves standing in for main subject teachers when absences, sicknesses or course cover arrives. You will be given a lesson plan and any materials needed and will be responsible for delivering the lesson, ensuring that the class is focussed and monitoring/managing the behaviour or the class where required. No planning or preparation is required, just a confident and proactive attitude.

This is a flexible role, with work patterns available from 1 – 5 days per week, with the opportunity to work within your local schools. Many of our cover teachers go on to undertake PGCEs/Teaching Training, or to take on permanent roles within a school, so this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a classroom and increase your understanding of teaching and learning.

Requirements:

-          Degree level education, or equivalent.

-          Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to process one.

-          EWC Registration or be willing to process one.

-          ** Previous experience working in a school setting (Teaching Assistant, Invigilation, previous cover work, etc.) is desirable, but not essential! **
