LEA'S situated in Stockport are looking to appoint a pool of Tutors to start in September 2019. They are currently looking for Tutors who can work within young people within the LEA. These young people vary in ages and may be between the ages of 5 - 16. The young people Tutors will work with may have a variety of needs including: SEN needs, SEMH needs or they may be being looked after through the Local Authority.
Tuition could take place in the young person's home, their residential care home, or an agreed public venue. Due to the nature of the backgrounds of these young people they may be prone to displaying signs of challenging behaviours. Tutors will need to be experienced in effectively managing challenging behaviours.
Each referral is usually for 8-10 hours per week, and you can take on as few or as many as you wish!
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience
- A passion for supporting pupils with significant difficulties
