Tutor Job - Leicestershire

About us

Teaching Personnel are the leading education provider across the UK, specialising in intervention and education for SEN pupils. We work with a broad range of Local Authority clients including Virtual Schools and EHCP teams across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. To support these clients with educating vulnerable pupils, we are looking for eperienced Tutors of all subjects, particularly English, Maths and Science to help individuals across Primary and Secondary age groups who need extra support due to learning loss experienced as a result of COVID-19. We are also looking for tutors to support vulnerable LAC pupils and those with EHCP's at risk of exclusion or without a school place.

Your new role

As a Tutor you will be working on a 1-2-1  basis with vulnerable children who need extra support. You will be able to effectively support and tutor different ages and abilities of children, and have a strong awareness of the National Curriculum at each level. Although we don't expect tutors to specialise in all subjects, it is helpful to be open minded and willing to try tutoring a mixture of ages, however we will of course match you to students who will benefit from your unique skillset and subject specialisms where possible.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to adapt easily to the needs of different children. You will be able to quickly build relationships with children, staff and carers/parents and have an engaging approach to learning. You will need recent relevant tutoring or teaching experience, either in a school or home environment. You will have a passion and desire to ensure all children have equal opportunities and will help provide the best support to these children.

What you'll get in return

You will have flexible hours and the opportunity to work on a flexible timetable based aroud your own availability and commitments. You will benefit from receiving competitive rates of pay and will be assigned a specialist Teaching Personnel Tuition contact to support you on an ongoing basis. You will have access to up to date safeguarding training prior to assignment, in addition to other CPD courses such as our FREE 'Tutor Toolkit' courses (3 modules). Refer a friend to Teaching Personnel and receive GBP50 per referral!
