Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN TUTOR

Location: South East England, Berkshire, Bracknell

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £20 - £35 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored academic support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a one-on-one setting
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Implement specialised teaching techniques to help students overcome learning barriers
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in SEN education
  • Experience working with a diverse range of SEN conditions

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a supportive and collaborative educational environment
  • Potential travel to student homes or educational settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
