Experienced Tutor for Students with Mental Health Difficulties

Are you a compassionate and skilled educator with a passion for supporting students facing mental health challenges? We are seeking a dedicated tutor to join our team and provide tailored academic assistance to students in need. If you have the heart and expertise to make a difference in the lives of these students, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for students with mental health difficulties.
  • Develop individualized learning plans based on students' strengths, needs, and accommodations.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to support students' academic progress and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Previous experience working with students with mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioural disorders. A good understanding of Autism will also be beneficial.
  • Proven experience delivering Maths, English or Science up to GCSE Level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of educational best practices, accommodations, and interventions for students with mental health needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
