Job description

Primary Tutor (FQT) – Lincoln | £25–£30/hr | Tailored 1:1 & Small Group Support

Are you a Fully Qualified Primary Teacher looking for a more flexible, pupil-focused way to use your skills?

TP Tutors is recruiting passionate FQTs to deliver 1:1 and small group tuition to pupils across Lincoln who need targeted support in literacy, numeracy, and general primary curriculum catch-up. Whether they’ve fallen behind due to gaps in learning, school anxiety, or a lack of confidence — your teaching could help rebuild the foundations they need.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging tuition in KS1 and KS2 English and Maths

  • Supporting pupils who may be out of school, on reduced timetables, or part of in-school intervention

  • Building strong rapport to encourage focus, self-esteem, and progress

  • Tailoring sessions to meet academic targets or EHCP-linked goals

  • Working during the school day or after-school hours, depending on referrals

You’ll Need:

  • QTS or equivalent and experience teaching across the primary curriculum

  • Confidence planning creative, differentiated lessons

  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply)

  • Safeguarding training

  • A relational, calm and consistent teaching style

  • Driving licence preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
