Job description

1:1 Tutor – Kettering | Flexible Hours | Competitive Pay

TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Kettering area. Tuition sessions take place in pupils’ homes or school settings during school hours.

We partner with local authorities and provide regular referrals, matched to your availability, subject expertise, and location—offering you flexibility and consistent work opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs
  • Support pupils in building confidence and improving attainment
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or mentoring)
  • Strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, or Science preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years’ UK teaching experience
  • Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, or EHCP students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
