Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Hornchurch

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Create individualised lesson plans to support students' learning objectives and academic progress.
  • Assess students' abilities and progress, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to provide feedback on student performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching.
  • Experience using assistive technology and resources to support SEN students.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working at learners homes or local libraries in Hornchurch, Greater London.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
