Job description

Are you keen to support young people with their academic and personal development – BUT want to help outside of mainstream education? Then we have the role for you…!

Our tuition roles will mean you will work with young people on a 1:1 basis. Giving you the opportunity to create a rapport with them and make a real difference!

 

Our roles are based in Romford and surrounding areas. We are recruiting for KS3 educators, who can tutor English, Maths and Science.

 

You will be -

  • Responsible for planning and creating tuition session plans, resources and delivering bespoke sessions on a 1:1 basis
  • Travelling to learner’s homes, local libraries or schools (where tuition will take place)
  • Effective in creating a safe learning environment for all learners to promote their well-being
  • Generating Ed Place Assessments to gauge learners’ current levels and identify gaps in their understanding.
  • Using our reporting platform (LEAP) to record sessions, monitor progress and attendance.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns to your consultant.

What you need -

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • An understanding of neurodiverse needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
