Tutor

We’re looking for a dedicated Functional Skills (Maths & English) Tutor to support learners across Grantham and the surrounding area, where demand for tailored tuition is growing.

Many of the young people you’ll work with have struggled to succeed in mainstream settings, whether due to gaps in education, school avoidance, or SEND needs. In Grantham, there’s a particular emphasis on helping learners achieve key Functional Skills qualifications that unlock further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

You’ll deliver engaging, one-to-one or small group sessions, breaking down barriers to learning and building confidence step by step. Lessons can range from entry level through to Level 2, so flexibility and creativity are essential.

Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Flexible schedule — part-time or full-time opportunities
Grantham-based placements, with strong local links to schools and alternative provisions
Resources, planning guidance, and safeguarding support provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
