Job description

We're Hiring: One-to-One Tutors across Gateshead and South Tyneside

Are you passionate about helping students overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential? Join our team of dedicated tutors delivering high-impact, one-to-one support to pupils in Gateshead.

Role: One-to-One Tutor –  Delivering targeted intervention
Location: Gateshead (in-person or online depending on assignment)
Hours: Flexible, part-time (school hours and after school available)
Pay: Competitive rates based on experience and subject area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored, one-to-one sessions focused on English, Maths or Science (KS1–KS4)

  • Support pupils who are behind age-related expectations or require extra confidence

  • Track and report progress to support pupil development with our bespoke learning platform (all training provided)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified teacher, experienced tutor or graduate with strong subject knowledge

  • Experience working with children or young people (in education or youth settings)

  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a pupil-centred approach

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
