Job description

Help Learners Find Their Confidence in GCSE English

TP Tutors is recruiting a dedicated GCSE English Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition in Crawley (RH11).

Support learners to develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills while preparing for their GCSEs through engaging and personalised tuition.

Location: Crawley, RH11
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community venues or learners' homes

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one GCSE English tuition
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities
  • Support learners with reading, writing, comprehension and analytical skills
  • Assist with GCSE exam preparation and revision
  • Build confidence, motivation and independent learning skills
  • Monitor and record learner progress
  • Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools and professionals

Essential Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE English
  • Experience supporting children or young people in mainstream and/or SEN/SEND settings
  • Relevant experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, education or youth work
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Ability to travel within Crawley and surrounding areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
