Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor
Location: Corby Area
Hours: Flexible (during school hours)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Corby area. This role involves working closely with students who require additional support outside of a mainstream classroom setting, either at home or within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs
  • Support learning in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Adapt teaching strategies to engage and motivate pupils
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND or SEMH where required
  • Track and report on student progress
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
  • Good knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
