Make a Difference Through SEN Tuition in Chatham 

Join TP Tutors as a Dedicated One-to-One SEN Tutor

TP Tutors is currently seeking caring and reliable SEN Tutors to provide tailored educational sessions for learners in Chatham and surrounding communities.

Position: SEN Tutor
Area: Chatham and nearby locations
Working Pattern: Flexible full-time or part-time hours
Tuition Type: In-person support

The Role

You will work directly with children and young people who require additional educational support outside of mainstream settings. Learners may have Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, SEMH needs, emotionally based school avoidance, or gaps in education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised tutoring sessions in person
  • Plan learning activities that match individual abilities and goals
  • Encourage learner confidence, engagement, and progress
  • Liaise professionally with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Maintain a safe and supportive tutoring environment
  • Travel locally across Chatham and surrounding areas for sessions

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience with young people or SEN learners is desirable
  • Suitable for experienced educators, tutors, mentors, and support workers
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills
  • Calm, empathetic, and flexible attitude
  • Good organisational and timekeeping abilities
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare procedures
  • Willingness to commute locally for tuition delivery

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
