Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Broomfield

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

1. Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths GCSE tutoring sessions to students in the East of England area.

2. Develop tailored lesson plans and educational materials to meet the individual learning needs of students.

3. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their understanding and performance.

4. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student learning.

Required Qualifications:

- A degree in Education or a related field

- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)

- Enhanced DBS check

Education:

Minimum of a degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles

- Organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

- Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours, flexible schedule

- Work primarily in a learners homes or local libraries

- Travel within the East of England region may be required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
