Job description

TP Tutors are looking for passionate, dedicated and nurturing education professionals to tutor KS3 learners on a 1:1 basis, in Takeley and surrounding areas.

We support the most vulnerable young people in Essex, by delivering bespoke tuition tailored towards their SEN and SEMH needs and interests.

As a tutor you will need to:

  • Plan tuition sessions, resources and deliver tuition sessions
  • Travel to learners’ homes, local libraries or schools to deliver tuition in person
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment, to ensure learners feel comfortable
  • Use Ed Place Assessments, provided by us, to generate baseline assessments and assess learner’s progress
  • Complete daily tuition reports to record sessions and monitor attendance
  • Be consistent and dedicated when working with young people, and maintain the highest level of communication

You need:

  • At least 2 years’ of UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • Previous experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students
  • To be able to confidently plan session and create resources by yourself, for every single lesson and learner
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
