Job description

What is Transition support?
Early years students starting school for the first time, or pupils moving between key stages and starting new year groups can often find the new phase in their education stressful.
Learners moving between SEN provisions can often present challenges for the learner and school.
Ensuring a smooth transition is key and a big priority for all stakeholders.
Teaching Personnel has supported schools for many years with interim targeted support to work with identified learners that would benefit from one-to-one or small group support.
We are recruiting;
We are looking specifically to meet both support staff and fully qualified teachers to assist pupils transitioning into school. The ideal candidate will have experience in working within education - especially within early years or special needs. Experience in working within care or with vulnerable adults or with children outside of the classroom is also something that is sought after. Recent graduates in education studies, psychology or any number of relevant courses and degrees will be accepted.
What will you be doing?
Teachers - will be teaching in either SEN or Primary Schools primarily focusing on intervention for those reception pupils who are not yet school ready or helping to raise attainment for pupils transitioning into a new year group/keystage.
Support staff - any number of roles! Most specifically working as a teaching assistant/learning support assistant you will be assisting the teaching in the running of the lesson, working 1 to 1 with pupils who need some additional support, assisting pupils with their phonics, reading and writing.
So what are you waiting for?
