Trainee Learning Support Assistant Needed in Cardiff!

Location: Cardiff
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only)
Pay: £90 - £95 per day
Start Date: September 1st

Are you passionate about working with young people and looking to begin a rewarding career in education? Teaching Personnel is offering an exciting opportunity for you to join Cardiff secondary schools as a Trainee Learning Support Assistant.

What You’ll Do

As a Trainee Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support students aged 11–18, many of whom have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) such as:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Dyslexia
  • Emotional and behavioural difficulties

Your role will involve:

  • One-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting with classroom learning
  • Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in education, healthcare, social work, learning support, or youth work
  • A passion for helping young people learn and grow
  • Willingness to complete essential training (fully funded by us)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check (support provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
