Help Shape Young Lives in Cardiff Classrooms

If you're someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a genuine difference, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be working closely with teachers and SENCOs to help pupils who may need extra support with their learning, behaviour, or day-to-day routines. You might work one-to-one with a student, or assist in small group sessions—every day is different.

Your day-to-day might include:

  • Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN in and out of class

  • Helping deliver tailored activities and adapted resources

  • Encouraging independence and engagement during lessons

  • Supporting classroom behaviour and helping maintain a positive learning environment

  • Preparing materials and assisting with the smooth running of the school day

  • Assisting with personal care if required

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be qualified—but the right attitude is essential. Experience supporting children or young people is a bonus, particularly in a school, youth work, or care setting.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You’re patient, caring, and reliable

  • You work well as part of a team

  • You’re interested in education or a future in teaching

  • You’re open to training and keen to build experience

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are helpful, but not essential—we’ll support you with training where needed.

What You’ll Get from Us

  • A competitive daily rate of £89.83

  • Access to free training and career development

  • A dedicated consultant to help you find the right school

  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in education, particularly in special needs support. We’re already booking in trial days and interviews, so don’t wait around.
