Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a Technology Technician for a Secondary School in Hertfordshire!   


Technology Technician
 Location: Rickmansworth Area
 Contract Type: Term Time Plus 2 INSET/Additional Days, Permanent
 Hours: Part-time, 12 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
 Salary: H4 pt 7 - £25,584 plus £1,013 fringe allowance
Start Date: September 2025


We are seeking a committed and organised Technology Technician to join a dedicated Design and Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to support students’ practical learning and contribute to a creative and dynamic area of the school.

As Technology Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring all materials, tools, and equipment are prepared and available for lessons across Key Stages 3-5. You will be responsible for maintaining and organising resources, assisting staff with lesson preparation, and helping to ensure the smooth running of practical sessions. Additionally, you will promote and uphold high standards of health and safety within the department, ensuring equipment is used and stored safely and that workshop areas are kept clean and well maintained.

About the Innovation & Design Department:

The department has recently expanded with the addition of a brand-new Innovation & Design Centre featuring two multi-use Technology workshops, a design studio, and a prep room. The final phase of refurbishment was completed in Summer 2023 with a £100K+ investment in the Food Technology room, supporting a cutting-edge learning environment.
