Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant (S75)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced 1:1 support assistant who is Team Teach trained. This will be a full-time role starting from the Easter term. You be initially based within Y5 supporting a pupil with Autism on a daily basis. If you live locally in or near the S75 area, and are seeking to provide specialist support to Primary age pupils then this could be the role for you.

You will:

• Have a high expectation of every child enabling them to make exceptional progress
• Have a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant work experience with children with challenging behaviour, either on a 1:1 basis or small groups
• Training or experience in relevant learning strategies - TEAM TEACH TRAINED
• Be able to motivate children who are disengaged from learning
• Excellent positive behaviour management skills
• Show initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
• Will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
• Will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
• Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community
