Team Teach Learning Support - Wakefield

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a school in Wakefield that needs several Behaviour Support workers. They must have the Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent deescalation qualification. The role is full time and will lead to a permanent position depending on the success of that candidate.

The school is based in Wakefield, WF1, and caters to KS 1-4 students who have been excluded from mainstream education. It focuses on building the academic strengths of these pupils and providing extra support in the areas that they need it. These students tend to be disengaged, display challenging behaviours, be from disdvantaged backgrounds, have attachment disorders and have Social. Emotional and Mental Health issues. We are looking for someone who can be open minded, empathetic and firm with these students in giving them extra, tailored support.

You must have the Team Teach qualification or an equivalent and you must have experience working with vulnerable people or in the education setting.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
