We are pleased to be recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant in a Salford PRU for pupils aged 4-11 Pupils from this school usually have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with

Most pupils have had a disrupted school life and fall below the expected learning levels for children of their age nationally, so the school is actively seeking someone to assist and nurture these pupils during these important years. The school has an excellent team of mentors, a family liaison coordinator, a senior youth worker, form tutors and TA’s to support you during your employment.

The role of a Learning Support Assistant will vary from day to day and the school are looking for someone who can make a real difference in the children’s lives; someone who is robust while also of a caring nature The role of a Learning Support Assistant would be to support the children in their development. Depending on the needs of the children /class you would support, this may be communication activities, play centred tasks or holistic therapies. Your role would be supported by a Teacher and one or more other Teaching Assistants.

This provision is based in Salford and is easily accessible by car, bus and tram

In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.
