Graduate Teaching Assistant Wanted two positions available
Newport Secondary School
Immediate Start - £57+ a day!
Are you a graduate interested in pursuing a career as a secondary teacher? Would you like to gain further experience working within secondary schools prior to beginning a teacher training course? Or do you have a genuine interest in the support and development of young people?
If so, the head of a large secondary school is looking to recruit a number of graduate teaching assistants for the rest of the academic year.
- Full and part time graduate teaching assistant positions available from April/May 2019
- Working in a supportive Secondary School which is a lead teacher training school and specialises in supporting future teachers & PGCE students
- Supporting the learning of pupils across a range of subject areas including Literacy & Numeracy skills
- Up to £300 per week whilst gaining invaluable experience
The Headteacher of this school wishes to appoint a number of graduates who are keen to promote learning and can encourage his pupils to reach their full potential. Applicants are required to be educated to degree level (All subjects welcome to apply) and will ideally have transferable or direct school based experience supporting pupils aged 11-16.
The successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including; working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have been identified to require additional support within their studies, working closely with pupils making their transition from primary to secondary (year 7) during school transition days as well as providing additional tuition support to GCSE pupils preparing for examinations.
