Teaching Assistants needed in Hindhead, September 2019
Teaching personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants or candidates with a background in childcare or youth work looking for a change of direction, to work in Special Educational Needs Schools in the Guildford area.
Special educational needs schools support children who find it harder to learn than most children of the same age. Because of this, the classes are smaller than a mainstream setting, and the amount of staff around to support is often more. The role is challenging, varied and very rewarding.
This Special Educational needs school supports the education of 95 students aged 7-19 years old, with a range of mild disabilities.
The role as Teaching Assistant:
- To support class groups or individual students through their educational progress
- Supporting the children in their learning, social activities and on outings
- Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence
- Supporting students through work experience
- Providing feedback and assistance to teachers
This role is term time and between the hours of 8:30 and 3:30.
If you think this is the role for you, please call Holly on 0118 3271556 for more information.
