Teaching Assistants

Are you looking to work with Special Educational Needs children? Then we want to hear from you! Here at Teaching Personnel we are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a Special Educational Needs school in Exeter. The schools cater for children who can not access mainstream education, either because of learning difficulties or challenging behaviour. The job it's self require a teaching assistants to support individual pupils and small groups. This is a rewarding position, yet challenging. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of children with special educational needs (SEN) either professionally or in the home environment. Although experience in working with children who have SEN is desired, it is not essential as Teaching Personnel offer related training courses.

As said above it is not desirable that you have experience working with special education needs students or additional needs as long as you have an open mind and are willing to learn given the appropriate training.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
