Teaching Assistant with ASC specialism- Key Stage 3

Full time position for a Teaching Assistant commencing as soon as possible. The position is full time and is initially temporary untill the end of the academic year. The setting may also have permenant positions available so Teaching Assistant who have a passion for supporting pupils with ASC seeking permenant positions are encouraged to apply.

The school is a Secondary Special School which currently has 253 pupils enrolled. The setting caters for pupils with a wide range of needs including: moderate, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties. In its most recent 2016 inspection the school was graded as 'good' with outstanding features by OFSTED. Due to the specific needs of the pupils the ideal teaching assistant will have an understanding of who to cater for children with SEN.

This particular role will involve working in collaboration a Qualified Teacher to support the holistic development of pupils with SEN. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience of working within a special needs setting and delivering interventions to pupils with SEN. We would also welcome applications from less experienced individuals who can demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting the optimal development of pupils with SEN.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with pupils with SEN
• Desirably Team-Teach trained (can be provided)
• Experience working within a special needs setting
• Experience delivering interventions designed to encourage the optimal development of pupils with SEN
