Full time graduate Teaching Assistants required for a Wallasey, Wirral based Secondary school, for a temporary gap within the support department, initially until the end of the year (July) with the potential to progress until the end of the new academic year.

Are you an entry level graduate looking to expand your experience working within a Secondary school setting? Do you wish to gain a practical insight into the teaching and learning of young people within your subject specialism?

If so, then please see the following details;

  • Full time Graduate Teaching Assistants required, Wallasey, Wirral based Secondary school.
  • Must hold a relevant degree level qualification to ne considered; additional experience working within an education capacity with young people will be highly advantageous.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Pay: £9.50p/h.

The incoming Graduate Teaching Assistants can expect to join a growing Secondary school, based in Wallasey, Wirral. With over 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, it is an ideal environment for enthusiastic graduates who seek to pursue a career within teaching. This role will create a strong foundation for any aspiring teacher to develop their understanding of the Education Sector.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant role will include:

  • Working with young pupils 1:1, intervention based and general classroom support.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons with full support in subject specialist areas.
  • Support the teaching and learning of young people alongside the class teacher.
  • Developing strong behaviour management skills, in accordance to school behaviour policies.
  • Supporting pupils during the transition period for incoming year seven students and year 11 pupils in preparation for the GCSE Exams.
