Teaching Assistant Tameside

Tameside secondary schools are looking for support staff to work as learning mentors and support assistants for their student who use English as an additional language. Teaching Personnel are receiving requests for support staff to work with students who use English as an additional language, moderate learning difficulties, social emotional mental health autism and ADHD.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who have educational health care plans to ensure they achieve their expected levels of progress and targets set by the schools SEN co-ordinator. If you are currently working as a teaching assistant and looking for your next post or working in a different sector of health care, social work or youth work and want to transition into education we welcome your application.

We work with eight secondary school throughout the borough of Tameside providing support staff to the schools SEN departments on a full time, part time and permanent basis. We also support schools in the local authorities of Manchester, Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East.
