Date posted : 08/04/19
£57 - £60 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a pupil referral unit in South Liverpool who cater for secondary aged children with social, emotional, mental health and behavioural difficulties. Due to staffing changes in school, there is a higher demand for Teachers who can do general cover in school. The school require teachers who are available on a day to day basis and are looking to build up bank staff due to high requirements.

Pupils arrive at this school in crisis after experiencing significant educational difficulties, long periods of non-attendance, exclusions and disengagement within mainstream schools. The school are very skilled at building positive relationships with pupils displaying challenging behaviour and work exceptionally hard to break down barriers to learning and give all pupils the chance to succeed.

The pupils at this school do have very challenging behaviour and so any teacher who apply need to be able to manage verbal and physical aggression. Having Team-Teach, MAPA, SCIPP or any other restraint training would be very advantageous for this role.

The school is located in South Liverpool, a short drive from the M62 for teachers who drive, and a 10 minute walk from a bus stop for those requiring public transport.

If you are available now for day to day work and want to work in a school for children with challenging behaviour, please get in touch with Michelle at the Liverpool Branch of Teaching Personnel on 0151 244 5430

Alternatively, to apply for this excellent opportunity, please apply online at: Http://www.teachingpersonnel.com/register/
