Teaching Assistant - Social, Emotional & Mental Health
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
The Head Teacher of a Specialist Independent School in Penarth are currently looking for a number of support assistants to join their team on a temporary basis initially with the potential to become permanent for the right person. This specialist school support children and young people from 7-16+ who display some behaviours that challenge and other additional learning needs.
Teaching Personnel have a direct partnership with this school and we now provide the majority of the staff here on a permanent basis. Worried you do not have specific experience in supporting challenging behaviour? Please do not let this put you off - the Head has specifically said they are looking for the right fit personality over any paper qualifications.
If you can say yes to any of the below questions then this is an ideal opportunity for you:
- Are you able to use your initiative and work well within a team?
- Do you have an interest in supporting challenging behaviour or additional learning needs?
- Do you have a good sense of humour?
- Are you looking for a permanent school contract?
If you have prior experience in psychology, counselling, sports, military or criminal justice this could be a perfect solution to more sociable hours.
What do you do next?
Please get in touch with Bethan our SEN Branch Manager on 02920 660270 and she will be more than happy to help. I cannot reiterate any more about how much of a good opportunity this could be for you. So do not delay - get in touch today!
