Teaching Assistant - SEN Support - Middlesbrough (Bedale)

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit a passionate support assistant to work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working on a full time basis, to begin in September 2019.

As a learning support assistant, you will be working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4, accompanied by a teacher. You will be working with children and young people on a 1:1 basis who struggle to engage with learning in a classroom environment. The successful candidate will be passionate and ready to work alongside students that may sometimes experience challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

• Support implementation of strategies to manage behaviour
• Record and report the students progress to the teacher and parents
• Establish and maintain relationships with the children and other staff
• Be reliable, passionate and personable
• Have some ASC experience working with young people

Teaching Personnel can offer the successful ASC classroom assistant competitive pay rates of £57-£65 per day, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. The role will be held until the end of August.
