Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit two Teaching Assistants with a range of proven skills and abilities in supporting Special Educational Needs.

You will be responsible for supporting learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Some of these roles will require personal care if needed.

Interested candidates must have experience of working with learners with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), physical disabilities and challenging behaviour. Previous experience of supporting learners in the educational setting is highly desirable as well as possessing good literacy and numeracy skills. You will be expected to encourage learner independence and will work closely with the course tutors to enhance the learning experience of these students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
