Teaching Assistant, Newquay

Teaching Personnel work closely with a school in Newquay who require a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on a temporary basis from September. Due to a long-term absence within the school, we are unable to confirm how long this post may be required for but it will certainly span from September 5th to October 18th 2019 in the first instance.

We are seeking a pro-active and confident Teaching Assistant who can support individual children within a Year 5 class. You may be required to work with small groups or individual pupils with SEN and EHC plans. We are seeking a candidate who can fit in well with a large team and who can build strong relationships quickly with the students and teacher. It will be imperative that you have a good sense of humour, are willing to get stuck in with community activities and that you are passionate about providing children with the best start in life. You may be asked to plan and deliver activities to your groups or 1:1 pupils and you will regularly liaise with the class teacher, year group leader and SENCO to monitor progress.
