Teaching Personnel are working closely witth a special day school for children with social, emotional and learning difficulties in the Dover area. Many of the pupils have ASD, ADHD or other difficulties such as attachment difficulties. The school has a mixed roll of over 130+ students between the ages of 5 and 16.
The school has been assessed as Good, as of November 2017. The school looks to combine academic success with a therapeutic, nurturing approach in order to best support the learning and emotional needs of the pupils.
The school are seeking to appoint two teaching assistants, one for the Primary phase and one for the Secondary phase. The posts offer an opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced TAs to join the dedicated and highly effective staff team.
The school prides itself on providing pupils with much more than academic support within lessons and they are looking for people willing to commit to providing the very best all round education for these exceptional young people.
The successful candidates will work supporting pupils with a range of behaviour and learning needs and will have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience, a flexible approach to their work and an ability to embrace change.
Candidates need to possess a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
The school places a high priority on professional and career development. All staff receive support throughout the year to achieve their performance management targets.
