Teaching Personnel require an experienced Teaching Assistant in Leamington Spa

Teaching Personnel are the UK's largest education providers of Teachers and Teaching Assistants, and we are proud to be working with a Special Needs school in Leamington Spa who require an SEN experienced TA to work within their lovely provision specifically with students who have moderate to severe learning difficulties.

About The Role:

The school caters for students aged between 11 and 19 years all of whom have a statement of special educational needs. Difficulties range from moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, profound and multiple difficulties and associated complex needs. Our aim is to cater for individual needs within our school community and to provide a quality learning environment.

The school cater for both Primary and Secondary aged pupils with varied Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, as well as physical and medical needs. Class sizes are small and you will be assisting the class teacher along with the support of fellow Support Assistants within the classroom. The requirements of the job will include 1:1 and small group work. The school hours are between 8.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The Ideal Candidate:

Would have a minimum of GCSE grades A*-C in Maths and English (Essential) and must have a confident and nurturing personality with a passion about making a difference in young people's lives.

You may also be required to assist children who need medical support and therefore previous experience with children and young adults who have additional needs would be desirable but not essential. Further experience in manual handling and gastro feeding is desirable.
