Teaching Assistant, Liverpool

  • Are you looking for a secondary TA role supporting pupils behavioural difficulties?
  • Do you have a Team-Teach certificate?
  • Are you available 3+ days per week?

Teaching Personnel are working with a school in Wigan who provides education for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties from KS3-4. Everyone in the school strives to create an environment where teamwork, support and friendship form the basis of our relationships. They value children as individuals and encourage their development as active, positive members of the school and their own communities

This school have a high need for TAs on a daily basis and do take strong candidates on long term roles. There are bus stops within walking distance from the school.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working with children on a small group or 1:1 basis
  • Confidence to support children who are verbally and physically aggressive
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Available from 8-3 Monday-Friday

Desirable

  • Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour or vulnerable adults
  • Team-Teach Trained or similar restraint training such as MAPA, SCIPP or other
