Teaching Assistant, Leyland

Teaching Personnel are working with a School based in the Leyland area who are seeking a Teaching Assistant for their KS1 class. The School specifically caters for pupils with behavioural difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and SEMH Difficulties. The School is smaller than average and class sizes are generally under 8 pupils per class. The School are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their growing team.

The role will require you to support the Teacher with behaviour management and work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are struggling academically and often emotionally. You must have knowledge of the primary curriculum and you must have strong behaviour management skills. The role would suit a confident, energetic, hard working and enthusiastic candidate and someone who has experience working with children who have additional learning needs.

The School is smaller than average and is easily accessible via public transport. The School are hoping to appoint someone within the next month and the role is full time.
