EYFS Teaching Assistant
Due to an increase in pupil numbers, the Headteacher of a reputable Primary School in the Fulwood area of Preston is currently recruiting for an experienced Early Years practitioner to work in Reception. This is a busy, successful school where children are eager to learn. This school will offer you the opportunity to work with happy polite children, supportive parents, and committed, loyal colleagues in a calm, nurturing environment. This is a part time role working five mornings per week and the working hours will be 8:30-12:30 Monday – Friday term time only.
Candidates must have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and be prepared to be fully involved in all aspects of school life. Previous experience of working within an EYFS class is desirable but not essential. An Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification of Level 2 or higher is essential. Candidates must be committed to providing an inclusive environment and be confident differentiating for children with varying needs including children with EAL and Speech Language and Communication needs (SLC). This is a new role in school and has the potential to transition onto a permanent contract. Responsibilities include providing general class support and working alongside small groups delivering Phonics intervention to close gaps in learning.
This role is to begin ASAP – however, the school are able to cover internally for the first two weeks following the half-term. The working hours will be 8:30-12:30 with a one hour lunch break. Candidates are paid on a weekly basis the rates are competitive starting at GBP200 per week (GBP10 per hour).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
