Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistants to support one of our using Plymouth based school.

An inclusive academy, committed to meeting the needs of primary aged pupils. Aiming to be an outstanding school, so that all the children can strive to achieve the best possible opportunities in life. 

This primary academy has over 380 pupils, a Nursery and a SEN Centre for 10+ children with SEN such as Autism, Complex needs, ADHD, Global Delay and more. They also follow a skills based curriculum.

The successful candidates should have experience of working with special educational needs as well as primary aged pupil to support our young people on a daily basis. They will be passionate about primary education and have strong but calm behaviour management. If you have an understanding of learning or behavioural difficulties and you have a desire to help make a difference to primary people’s lives then please get in touch!

You will:

• have experience of working with children, either on a 1-1 basis or with small groups
• have a calm and approachable manner 
• be flexible, adaptable and reliable 
• Support the ethos of the school
• Show commitment to supporting children with SEN
• Successfully communicate with school staff and parents/carers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
